I used to loathe laundry. Seriously. Every step of it. But now I’m back on the happy train to laundry town! I know, I know, you’re probably like, “yeah, right.” I could not be more honest with you right now. Since we received our Samsung Activewash laundry pair from Best Buy, there’s barely a time that I see a pile of dirty clothes and cringe. Anyway, I don’t cringe like I used to. Heck, if you have to do laundry, you might as well love it right?! I’m really excited to give you the low down on how you can love your laundry too!
I gotta tell you, when I first heard about these, I was like-hmmm, would I be ok with a top loading machine? We had a set of pretty expensive front loaders, although they were about 8 years old, they still washed well, or at least I thought they did. I gave the Samsung Activewash Washer a try and boom, I had joined team top loaders and never looked back! Our clothes and bedding come out amazingly clean. With a teenage boy and a husband that’s a paramedic, we have some pretty gross stuff going on around here. But that’s not the only reason I love doing laundry in this machine. This baby is giant. I mean huge. You can put up to THREE LAUNDRY BASKETS OF CLOTHES IN ONE LOAD. Just the time savings alone is one more reason, I love doing laundry with this pair. I could literally fit inside here although I highly recommend no one ever try that. Did I say how huge it is?
Another reason I love it is because it has a dedicated sink for hand-washing delicate items and pre-washing heavily soiled clothes. Do you know what kind of laundry sink I had before? None. Didn’t have one at all. Had to drag the clothes all over the house. And drip them from a different sink all the way back to the machine. No more of that, thank goodness! Plus, it has a Steam Wash function helps remove tough grime & stains like I’ve never experienced before in my life. Have you ever had to double wash things like I have? With the Samsung Activewash Washer, I don’t have to do that anymore.
As if I needed more reasons to love it, it has more awesome features too! It’s super quiet which is very unlike my old machine. They tell me its some kind of VRT technology which reduces noise and vibration during washes, even in high-spin speeds. All I know is all my stuff stays on the shelves and it doesn’t sound like a freight train is coming through my laundry room. Yay for peaceful laundry.
One more must tell feature is that this washer has Self Clean technology that keeps the drum and gasket hygienically clean by removing odor-causing bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals. I cannot tell you how terrible my old washer would smell if you left it shut. We did everything to get it to stop-vinegar, laundry machine cleaners and pretty much every thing else under the sun. I’m so glad to not have to worry about that anymore.
The Dryer is just as fantastic, except for the fact that I actually have to take the clothes out and fold them. Don’t worry though, Samsung thought of that too. It’s Steam Dry selection will help to keep your clothes refreshed, especially if your like me and you start the dryer 11 billion times before you actually fold the load. Also awesome is its 15 drying cycles which include but are not limited to heavy duty, steam sanitize, wrinkle away, perm press, delicates and bedding. I love having options, don’t you?
Now I have to tell you about two more features and then I’ll stop gushing. This dryer has a Vent Sensor that shuts down the machine in the event of a clogged vent to prevent potential fires. I’m terrible at remembering to check that so I love the peace of mind that it will shut down. This Samsung dryer also has the E-star qualification which saves you up to 25% in annual energy costs. After two months of switching out dryers, I can totally see a huge difference in my electric bill! My old one was definitely not energy efficient!!
