Brrrr! It’s thirty something degrees outside but here inside the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage it’s quite comfortable. We’ve been looking for a car for our daughter that gets amazing mileage that is smaller so she can feel confident and in control. The Mirage is all of that. We adored the Sapphire Blue paint and the black cloth interior. This 4 door, 5 passenger beauty has enough room for all her stuff and her friends.
The Mirage was ranked #1 in Cars.com’s “New Cars for Penny Pinchers” and it was named to the American Council for Energy Efficient Economy’s “Greenest Vehicles” list too! Besides that it is just fun to drive!
Let’s talk about the awesome interior though! It’s a pleasure to ride in the front seats and it has a lot to offer up there. Getting in and out is a breeze. It has a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and a 4 way adjustable passenger seat. On top of that, power windows, mirrors and door locks are standard on all models!
It’s also equipped with Fast Key Passive Entry and has push to start! That surprised me for a vehicle in this class! Having steering wheel mounted cruise control and audio controls was a bonus too!
Teens won’t mind hopping in the back seat for a fun night with friends! These fold down for those times when you want to increase the cargo space!
We decided to make our test drive two fold . We took it on highways, country roads and city streets and it performed well. Dropping off some items at Goodwill was something we needed to do for a while and with the 37 City/44 Highway gas mileage rating we knew it would be a snap to get there and back and even more without any gas station stops.
We fit so much stuff into the hatchback cargo area! For a small car the 17.2 cubic feet of storage was more than ample. You can expand it to up to 47 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down though! That’s good for us to know because that means we can definitely make another trip to donate a bunch more items. We have way too much stuff anyway and donating helps other families while helping out business at Goodwill too! With the Mirage, you can afford to give more but that good feeling you get is priceless!
The lady at the GoodWill store was surprised by how much we had in there so she insisted that she come and help us unload!
Shiny Tires! I love me some shiny tires! The Mirage has 14″ standard and premium wheel options. It also comes with active stability control with traction control logic and a tire pressure monitoring system.
