Honeywell Wifi Smart Thermostat Review and GIVEAWAY!

After the longest,  coldest, winter ever (at least for me here in the Midwest tundra; the spring hasn’t been that warm yet either), I am excited to upgrade my heating and cooling system with the Wifi Smart Thermostat from Honeywell.

I’ve had a Honeywell digital thermometer since we purchased this home about 10 years ago. At the time it was installed it was considered state of the art and it was probably the fanciest thermostat we had ever seen. The previous owners had it all programmed and set for specific temperatures to conserve energy for daytime and nighttime settings. The problem is they liked it super cold. I nearly froze my tootsies off. I never exactly figured out how to use it. Not too energy efficient of me, right?! That’s the problem a lot of people have with programmable thermostats.

I am happy to report that all of that has changed now that I can log in online or use the Total Connect Comfort app. I can check the settings there, change the temperatures and even see the inside humidity level and outside temperature FROM PRACTICALLY ANYWHERE. Additionally,  it boasts an easy to read customizable color touchscreen that’s really simple to adjust to your specific temperature preferences! Then once we received it, we un-boxed it and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. It almost took me longer to register the account than to install the actual thermostat. Even if you were a complete newbie, I’m pretty sure you could have it installed and set up in no more than 30 minutes. After answering a few questions about you and your family’s routine, you’ll be all set to wake up toasty and warm and sleep in your preferred environment. EASY technology ROCKS!!
