If you haven’t heard yet, Microsoft is ending support for Windows XP on April 8th, 2014. Say buh-bye to Windows XP, friends.
If you’re like, “what, I haven’t used XP in ages,” then good for you. If you’re one of the 500 million PC’s that still use it, run around the room and scream.
No, don’t panic, your PC will still work after this date but it will be ultimately more vulnerable to hackers, malware and viruses. There’s a lot more to it but security is the most important factor to hopefully encourage you to find out what you need to do.
WHAT DO WE DO NOW?
1. Go out and buy a Mac. (You’re going to have to relearn some things anyway, why not do it on the best money can buy.)
2. Throw your old PC away and buy a new PC. (Not the greatest choice but still better than what you had.)
3. Purchase a copy of Windows 7 for around a hundred bucks. (You’ll still be behind on the times but at least you’ll be a little more secure.Maybe. You’ll have a desktop that works relatively the same and you won’t spend hours trying to figure out what you are doing.)
4. Unplug indefinitely and move to a tropical island. (It will be lonely but you will have a nice tan.)
Countdown clock provided below for your information. (sorry.)
